‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ returns on September 26 after a six-month gap with its festive ‘Hasi Ka Tyo-haha-har’ theme

After a six-month break, Kapil Sharma and his comedy gang are set to return to the screen with “The Great Indian Kapil Show”, with Season 5 premiering on September 26.
Netflix announced the comeback in a post on its official website on September 15, with new episodes streaming every Saturday at 8 pm.
The new season, themed “Hasi Ka Tyo-haha-har”, will tap into the festive spirit of Diwali and Christmas, promising celebrity guests, candid conversations, sketches and plenty of comedy, according to the streaming platform.
Kapil Sharma will return with Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu. Netflix said the season would feature celebrity guests, newsmakers and other personalities, along with candid conversations, sketches, banter and comedy.
In the same official Netflix announcement, Kapil Sharma said the team often feels it had done enough “masti” before realising that “we are not done yet”. He added that the new season would celebrate the upcoming festivities with audiences, including Diwali and Christmas.
Tanya Bami, Series Head, Netflix, said the show was returning after a six-month gap with a fresh line-up of guests and at the beginning of the festive season.
