Panchkula Police conduct combing operation with sniffer dog in Ramgarh

Panchkula Police conducted an extensive combing operation in the Ramgarh area with the assistance of a sniffer dog as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen law and order, curb crime and prevent drug-related activities in the district.

The operation was carried out by the Ramgarh police outpost team under the directions of Police Commissioner IPS Pankaj Nain. Officers searched lanes, shops, open spaces, vacant plots, bushes, suspected hideouts and other sensitive locations across the area.

According to Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) IPS Aditi Singh, police verified the identities of suspicious individuals and maintained special surveillance on people entering and leaving the locality during the operation.

She said suspected locations linked to the trafficking, sale and consumption of narcotic substances were thoroughly inspected. Local residents were also sensitised to the harmful effects of drug abuse and informed that the police would take strict action against any drug-related activity under its zero-tolerance policy.

The DCP appealed to the public to report any information related to illegal drug activities without fear through the Panchkula Police Drug Info Helpline at 7087081100 or 7087081048, assuring that the identity of informants would be kept confidential.

Panchkula Police said combing operations, patrolling and anti-drug campaigns would continue in the future to ensure peace, public safety and a healthier society across the district.
