Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Mann on Monday flagged off 100 minibuses at the Punjab Roadways Transport Corporation (PRTC) headquarters in Patiala.
Speaking to the media after the event, Mann addressed questions about the last rites of Parvinder Singh Jhota, the Moga murder case and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s proposed rally in Sangrur.
On Jhota’s last rites, Mann said most of the family’s demands had been accepted and appealed to the family to perform the last rites.
On the Moga murder case, the CM said the police were carrying out their duties and the Director General of Police (DGP) was monitoring the situation.
Commenting on Rahul Gandhi’s proposed rally in Sangrur, Mann described the town as the Aam Aadmi Party’s capital and said the election season had begun, with political parties seeking to demonstrate their strength in the area.
He expressed hope that people would vote the AAP back to power on the basis of his government’s work.
