Commissioner Pankaj Nain reviews roofs, drains, records, seized vehicles & stable

Panchkula Police Commissioner IPS Pankaj Nain conducted surprise inspections at the Sector 20 police station, Cyber Crime Police Station, Sector 19 police outpost and Sector 21 police outpost, reviewing cleanliness, records, pending cases and law-and-order arrangements.

During the inspections, Nain checked different sections and facilities and personally inspected the roof of a police station. He directed officials to ensure that water did not accumulate on roofs, in drains or elsewhere on the premises during the rainy season.

He also inspected a stable and directed officials to ensure proper care of the horses and effective utilisation of available resources.

Nain sought details of unclaimed and seized vehicles that had been parked on the premises for a long time. He directed officials to complete the required legal formalities and dispose of the vehicles at the earliest in accordance with rules.

Interacting with police personnel, he sought information about the law-and-order situation and other policing-related issues in their areas. He directed them to take public complaints seriously and resolve them on priority.

Nain stressed the need for honesty, impartiality, sensitivity and responsibility in discharging duties, besides better coordination with the public. He said, “Negligence at any level will not be accepted.”

He directed officers and personnel to regularly review arrangements at police stations and outposts, saying effective policing also involved clean and orderly premises, transparent functioning and timely resolution of public grievances.
