Pinjore, May 25

As part of a student-focused initiative held at the Forest Complex in Pinjore, Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma and Kalka MLA Shaktirani Sharma distributed bicycles to Class 10 students of a PM SHRI Government School.

Addressing the gathering, Kartikeya Sharma announced that students securing top positions in Classes 10 and 11 in the future would be rewarded with electric vehicles, highlighting the move as an encouragement for academic excellence and environmental awareness.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for fuel conservation and environmental protection, he urged citizens to reduce their reliance on motor vehicles and adopt cycling as a healthier, eco-friendly alternative.

He further said that bicycles represent discipline, health, and self-reliance, adding that the initiative symbolized the beginning of a brighter future for students. He also encouraged youth to pursue careers in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and modern technology, stating that innovation would define India’s future growth.

Highlighting governance reforms, he said government employment in India is now being provided with transparency, crediting systems initiated under former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and continued by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

MLA Shaktirani Sharma said the bicycles, though a small gesture, would have a meaningful impact by improving students’ punctuality, independence, and time management. She emphasized that time is the most valuable resource in life.

She also assured that the government is continuously working to strengthen the education sector and address infrastructural gaps in schools, adding that concerns raised by school management committees would be resolved as a priority.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, teachers, BJP workers, and local dignitaries.
