Panchkula, May 26
Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam has directed a comprehensive review of sports infrastructure and nursery schemes across Haryana during a high-level meeting held at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Principal Secretary Vijay Dahiya, Director of Sports, and other department heads, while District Sports Officers (DSOs) from across the state joined via video conferencing.
The minister reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects and sought detailed reports on the functioning and status of sports nurseries in various districts. He issued strict instructions to submit all reports within 15 days.
Gautam also warned that any irregularities or discrepancies found in the reports would make the concerned DSOs directly accountable.
The initiative aligns with administrative reforms and the recent push for improved governance standards, following directives from the central and state leadership. Officials said the move aims to enhance transparency and strengthen sports development across Haryana.
