Amritsar, September 4
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday met Punjab leaders, including Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu and state Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, to review the flood situation before visiting affected areas and holding talks with farmers. The meeting, held at Amritsar airport, brought together key representatives from the Centre, the state government, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Among others present were BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar, along with senior leaders Shwait Malik, Amarpal Singh Bonny, and Harvinder Singh Sandhu. Officials from the local administration also joined the discussions.
