Panchkula, July 13

The Panchkula administration intensified its drive against illegal constructions by demolishing unauthorized developments in two colonies located in Barwala and Plasra villages. The action was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma and the leadership of District Town Planner Babita Gupta.
During the demolition drive, the District Town Planning team removed an unauthorized road network, one damp-proof course structure, and the boundary markings of three plots using heavy machinery. Officials said the action targeted colonies developed without the required approvals. The demolition was conducted in the presence of Duty Magistrate Ashok Kumar, Assistant Town Planners Dimpy Rathi, and other officials, with a heavy police force present to maintain law and order during the operation.
District Town Planner Babita Gupta said that obtaining approval from the Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana, is mandatory before undertaking any construction or developing a residential colony. She warned that strict legal action will continue against those found carrying out unauthorized construction or developing illegal colonies without permission. Appealing to the public, Gupta urged people not to undertake any construction or invest in unauthorized colonies without obtaining the required Change of Land Use (CLU) permission or license from the department.
