New Delhi, November 29
Air India has said its flight operations remain largely unaffected as the airline carries out mandatory software and hardware realignment on its Airbus A320 fleet, following directives issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Airbus. The airline said there have been no cancellations linked to the task and that its network schedule remains stable, though some services may face minor delays or rescheduling. Ground staff have been deployed to assist passengers at airports.
Air India said safety remained its “top priority” and that engineering teams had been working round the clock to complete the required reset. More than 40 percent of the affected aircraft have already been updated, the airline added, and it expects the entire A320 fleet to be covered within the timeline set by EASA. Passengers have been advised to check the latest status of their flights on the Air India website or contact the carrier’s helpline before travelling to the airport.
