India’s wellness industry is witnessing steady growth, supported by rising health awareness, increasing disposable incomes, lifestyle-related health concerns, and a growing preference for preventive healthcare. Against this backdrop, EBG Group Founder and Chairman Dr. Irfan Khan on Monday outlined the long-term vision for Carlton Wellness India, which aims to build an integrated wellness ecosystem across the country.
Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, Dr. Khan said the future of wellness in India will be driven by prevention, balanced living, emotional wellbeing, lifestyle improvement and integrated wellness experiences rather than a treatment-centered approach.
Dr. Khan, who has nearly two decades of experience in holistic wellness, hospitality and preventive healthcare, is leading the development of Carlton Wellness India under a strategic brand licensing arrangement.
Speaking about the initiative, he said Carlton Wellness India has been designed around the principles of conscious luxury, authenticity and long-term wellbeing. The objective, he said, is to create a wellness ecosystem that enables people to relax, recover, and reconnect through structured, premium wellness experiences. According to Dr. Khan, the platform is being developed as an integrated wellness and hospitality network comprising city wellness centers, hotel spas, destination retreats, wellness resorts, wellness residences, vacation homes, salons and other lifestyle wellness formats.
He said Carlton Wellness India will combine India’s traditional wellness practices with modern hospitality standards through programs focused on Ayurveda-inspired therapies, naturopathy, yoga, mindfulness, hydrotherapy, rejuvenation, stress management, beauty, grooming and lifestyle wellness. Dr. Khan emphasized that wellness should become part of everyday life rather than being viewed only as a luxury experience or occasional holiday. He said India’s rich heritage in natural healing and preventive care can be presented with international service standards to build greater consumer confidence.
Highlighting the country’s potential, Dr. Khan said India is well placed to emerge as a leading destination for wellness tourism and preventive healthcare by bringing together traditional knowledge, modern science, responsible service delivery and sustainable wellness practices.
He further said that Carlton Wellness India will focus on creating trusted, scalable wellness formats capable of serving a broad spectrum of consumer needs, ranging from urban wellness services to destination retreats and wellness-oriented real estate.
As demand for preventive healthcare, stress management and wellness tourism continues to grow, Carlton Wellness India aims to establish itself as a premium wellness platform built on the principles of authenticity, sustainability, service quality and long-term wellbeing.
