Sunshine after morning rain offers clear views of snow-covered Dhauladhar peaks
Dharamshala: Fresh snowfall in the Dhauladhar hills, followed by sunshine after morning rain, drew tourists to scenic spots around Dharamshala on Wednesday, with visitors heading towards Naddi, McLeodganj and nearby destinations to enjoy the snow-covered peaks.
The change in weather improved mountain visibility and made conditions pleasant for tourists and residents after morning rain.
Shabnam, a visitor from Kangra, said the weather had remained poor in the morning, with rainfall in the lower areas and fresh snowfall in the hills. However, sunshine later made the conditions pleasant. She said the snow-covered Dhauladhar peaks looked beautiful and planned to visit Naddi and McLeodganj.
Pushpendra, who arrived from Jammu for a two-day holiday, described the weather as pleasant. He said the snowfall had enhanced the mountain scenery and planned to visit McLeodganj and other tourist attractions in Dharamshala.
Deeksha, a visitor from Palampur, said heavy morning rain made it seem the wet spell would continue. However, the weather gradually cleared, and mild sunshine improved the views. She planned to visit Kharota and McLeodganj.
Saurabh, also from Palampur, said he had visited Dharamshala to appear for an examination. Morning rain made the weather unfavorable for outdoor activities, but the subsequent sunshine and snowfall in the hills gave him a chance to explore the area.
He expressed hope that the fresh snowfall would increase tourist activity and attract more visitors to Dharamshala in the coming days.
The snowfall and subsequent sunshine enhanced the region’s scenic appeal, raising hopes of increased tourist footfall and improved prospects for local tourism businesses.
