Panchkula, May 20

Aam Aadmi Party leader Deepak Singla was produced before a court in Panchkula on Wednesday in connection with the alleged Rs 155 crore fraud case.

As the special ED court judge was on leave, Singla was presented before another court. The court sent him to one-day judicial custody, following which he was shifted to Ambala Jail. He will be produced again on Thursday.

Sources said the Enforcement Directorate had sought a 10-day remand in the case. However, no decision on the remand plea could be taken due to the absence of the ED court judge. The matter is now expected to be heard during the next hearing.
