Punjab Governor unveils T-shirt, medal and poster of ‘Lake to Lake Ultra 2026’

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria on Thursday unveiled the official T-shirt, medal, and poster of the GB Legends ‘Lake to Lake Ultra 2026’ ahead of the endurance race scheduled for August 16.

The event, being held with GB Legends as the event partner, will feature 30 km, 55 km and 75 km race categories and is expected to attract nearly 550 runners and endurance enthusiasts from across the country.

The race will begin at 4 am from New Lake in Sector 42, Chandigarh, and pass through the Shivalik foothills before concluding at Tikkar Taal in Morni. A special category for participants aged 50 and above has also been introduced.

Jatinder Bajwa, Vice President, GB Realty, said the event was being organized to coincide with Independence Day celebrations and was envisioned as an annual event promoting the message of a “Fit, Healthy and United India”.

Harpreet Singh Sandhu, State Information Commissioner, Punjab, who was also present at the ceremony, said the association with GB Legends would further strengthen the event’s objective of promoting sporting excellence.

Amit Sood, CEO of GB Legends, said the partnership would help promote endurance sports, active lifestyles and a culture of fitness while offering participants an experience in the Shivalik Hills.

Amit Chauhan, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said the event was more than a race; it represented endurance, determination and the spirit of India.

The organizers said the event also aimed to promote Chandigarh and the Morni-Shivalik region as destinations for sports, adventure and eco-tourism. The Bib Expo will be held on August 15, a day before the main race.

The organizers thanked Governor Kataria for unveiling the event’s official merchandise and for extending his support to the participants.
