The bus was travelling from Manali to Pathankot when it overturned at a bend in Bashing.
Kullu: Six people, including the driver and conductor, were injured after a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus overturned at a road bend in Bashing near Kullu on Saturday, police said.
The bus, bearing registration number HP-38-9738, was travelling from Manali to Pathankot when the driver allegedly lost control while negotiating the bend, causing the vehicle to overturn by the roadside, according to police.
The injured were identified as Shyam Lal of Bashkola in Kullu, Kishan Thapa of Bandrol in Kullu, Chhaya Devi and Ramesh Kumar, both from Kuthed in Pathankot, driver Manmohan Singh of Bahut in Kangra district, and conductor Praveen of Khani in Nurpur, Kangra.
The Kullu police reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and helped evacuate the injured from the bus. They were taken by ambulance to the hospital in Dhalpur, Kullu, for treatment.
Kullu Superintendent of Police Abhishek Sekhar said all 6 bus occupants were injured in the accident. Police have registered a case and started further proceedings.
The exact cause of the accident is being investigated, police said.
The bus was operating on the Manali-Pathankot route when the accident occurred.
