The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday kicked off a large-scale outreach drive across Punjab to mark four years of its government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

As part of the campaign, titled “Shandaar 4 Saal, Bhagwant Mann de Naal”, party leaders, including ministers and MLAs, fanned out across the state, covering more than 1,000 villages and urban wards in a single day to connect with residents and present the government’s report card.

Highlighting key achievements, Power Minister Sanjeev Arora said a majority of households—around 90 per cent—are benefiting from zero electricity bills along with round-the-clock power supply. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak pointed to the government’s action against drug trafficking, stating that over 92,000 smugglers have been jailed, while 65,000 government jobs have been awarded on merit.

Health Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that the state’s network of 985 Aam Aadmi Clinics has delivered free healthcare services to more than five crore people, with families receiving cashless treatment cover of up to Rs 10 lakh. Women and Child Development Minister Baljit Kaur said financial assistance of Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per month will be provided to women under a government initiative.

Education Minister Ravjot Singh noted improved performance in government schools, with students clearing competitive exams such as JEE and NEET. Agriculture Minister Mohinder Bhagat said farmers are receiving free daytime electricity and improved canal water supply, with payments being processed within 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Barinder Kumar Goyal said the government is providing Rs 1 crore as ex gratia to families of martyrs, adding that road accident fatalities have declined by 50 per cent.

According to the party, the campaign is aimed at ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach every household across Punjab while strengthening direct engagement with the public.
