Two men were injured after a reported exchange of fire between police and suspected criminals near NIFT in Sector 23 of Panchkula on Thursday, officials said. The incident took place close to the educational institute when police confronted the suspects. During the crossfire, two criminals identified as Rahul and Mukesh suffered bullet injuries on their legs. Both injured men were taken to Sector 6 Civil Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
The Police said the operation was carried out by the Gulchika police team from Kaithal. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident. Initial reports suggest the suspects had come to collect weapons when police intercepted them and arrested them after the exchange of fire.
