Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has appealed to people of the state to participate in the Congress-led ‘Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao’ mega rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on November 1. The rally, called at Rahul Gandhi’s initiative, will focus on concerns over alleged vote theft and the need to protect electoral transparency and democratic rights.
In his message, Sukhu said vote theft was linked to national interest and the strength of democracy, making it important for citizens to understand their responsibilities. He said voting was not merely a right but also a way to express public opinion, exercise power, and shape the country’s future.
The Chief Minister said citizens collectively shared responsibility for ensuring fairness, transparency, and credibility in the electoral process. He urged people to reach Delhi in large numbers and participate in the rally to raise their voices in support of democratic rights and electoral integrity.
Sukhu also called on people to support Rahul Gandhi’s campaign to safeguard voting rights and strengthen democratic institutions.
