Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Harini Amarasuriya, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, on Friday to boost bilateral cooperation across key sectors including education, technology, innovation and the welfare of fishermen.
Welcoming her to India, Modi said the visit would bring fresh momentum to the historic and multi-faceted relationship between the two countries. He recalled his own visit to Sri Lanka earlier this year, where he met President Anura Kumara Disanayaka and held wide-ranging discussions on strategic and economic cooperation.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing shared development goals and strengthening ties in line with their long-standing partnership. Modi also conveyed warm greetings to President Disanayaka and expressed hope for continued high-level engagement in the months ahead.
