Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condemned the attack on Chief Justice of India Justice B.R. Gavai inside the Supreme Court premises, calling it an act that has “angered every Indian.” In aa post on X, Modi said he had spoken to Justice Gavai and expressed his deep concern over the incident. “There is no place for such reprehensible acts in our society. It is utterly condemnable,” he said.
The Prime Minister lauded Justice Gavai’s composure, saying his calm response in the face of the assault reflected his “commitment to the values of justice and to strengthening the spirit of our Constitution.”
