New Delhi, May 19
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday said its Class 12 re-evaluation portal is functioning properly despite several students reporting login and submission issues on social media.
Students took to X, claiming they were unable to access the portal or submit applications after the re-evaluation and verification process began earlier that day. Some users alleged that the portal had crashed due to heavy traffic.
Responding to the complaints, CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said only a limited number of students had reported temporary login-related problems during the morning hours.
According to the board, in some cases, the issue was linked to previously saved browser pages reopening instead of refreshing properly. Students were advised to restart their systems and try again after some time.
Bhardwaj maintained that the portal was operating smoothly and said even a test application submitted by the board had gone through successfully. He also dismissed concerns that the system slowdown was caused by high user traffic, stating that the National Informatics Center was monitoring and managing the portal operations.
The board further clarified that the CAPTCHA feature had been removed after some students reported that it was not visible while accessing the portal.
CBSE opened the application window for Class 12 re-evaluation and answer sheet verification on May 19. Students can apply for the process till May 22.
Under the revised fee structure introduced this year, students can access scanned copies of their answer sheets by paying Rs 100 instead of Rs 700. Verification and validation requests will also cost Rs 100 instead of Rs 500, while rechecking of individual questions will be charged at Rs 25 per question.
Students will be able to access the rechecked answer sheets between May 26 and May 29.
