Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday thanked people across the country for their affection and blessings on his birthday saying their gestures have strengthened his resolve to serve India with greater devotion.
In a post on X, Modi said some expressions of affection were special and deeply touched the heart. He referred to ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ as one such gesture.
“Every blessing strengthens my resolve to serve our beloved Bharat with even greater devotion,” the Prime Minister said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his birthday greetings to Modi, saying he conveyed his “heartfelt congratulations” to the Prime Minister and the people of the country on the occasion.
The Defence Minister described Modi’s leadership as central to India’s progress towards the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
“From physical infrastructure to digital connectivity, from the welfare of the poor to innovation and entrepreneurship, we have made historic and remarkable strides across every sphere,” the Defence Minister said.
He said the country had seen improvements in ease of living, wider opportunities and greater emphasis on the dignity of individuals.
The Defence Minister also said Modi had placed good governance and public service at the centre of India’s development journey, making administration more transparent, accountable and citizen-centric.
He added that India’s civilisational values and cultural heritage had received renewed recognition on the global stage under Modi’s leadership.
“India today is moving forward with a renewed sense of purpose, drawing strength from its civilisational roots,” the Defence Minister said.
He wished Modi good health, a long life and continued strength and energy in the service of the nation.
