Kareena Kapoor Khan turned 46 on Monday, with family and friends taking to social media to celebrate her birthday with throwback pictures, heartfelt messages and a retro-themed tribute.

Kareena’s sister Karisma Kapoor shared a childhood photograph of the two sisters on Instagram and wished her “the best sister ever”, adding that they had always been “twinning and winning”.

Soha Ali Khan joined the ’80s trend with an AI-generated retro picture featuring Kareena, Saif Ali Khan, Soha and Kunal Kemmu. “You were born in 1980 – a true-blue ’80s child so this seemed appropriate,” Soha wrote, wishing Bebo and calling her a style icon across every decade.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas also shared a picture of Kareena on Instagram, writing, “Happy Birthday Kareena. There will never be anyone like you.”

Kareena’s close friend Amrita Arora marked the occasion with a throwback picture and a birthday poem. Kareena responded to the post by calling Amrita a “poet”.

Meanwhile, sister-in-law Saba Ali Khan and close friend Malaika Arora also shared birthday wishes for Kareena on social media.

The birthday comes days after Kareena’s latest film “Daayra”, directed by Meghna Gulzar and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, released on September 18. The film marks Kareena and Prithviraj’s first on-screen collaboration.
