Four killed, seven injured in a major truck collision inside Hanogi Tunnel; police investigation underway

A tragic road accident occurred inside Hanogi Tunnel on the Chandigarh-Manali four-lane highway on Thursday morning when two trucks collided head-on. Four people were killed in the crash, while seven others sustained injuries and were referred to Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College and Hospital in Nerchowk for further treatment.
According to initial information, the accident took place when the two trucks collided inside the tunnel, triggering panic at the scene. Police and rescue teams immediately reached the spot and began evacuating the injured. The victims were taken to the hospital in 108 ambulances.
Police inspected the accident site and launched an investigation into the cause of the collision. Traffic movement inside the tunnel was temporarily affected, while officials worked to remove the damaged vehicles and restore normal traffic.
Mandi Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that four people had died and seven were injured. The exact cause of the accident will be determined after the investigation is completed.
