Chandigarh, July 15
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini during the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremony of road, healthcare and civic infrastructure projects worth more than ₹6,600 crore at Punjab Engineering College (PEC) in Chandigarh on Friday. Besides it, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, and Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh will also attend the event.
According to the official schedule, Modi is expected to arrive at the venue at 1:45pm and deliver a 45-minute address. He will leave the campus at around 2:35pm.
The prime minister will travel by MI-17 helicopter from Jind to Chandigarh, landing at the Rajindra Park helipad before heading to the venue. After the programme, he will depart by helicopter for Jalandhar.
