Chandigarh, April 23
After quarterly review meeting, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau Chief A S Chawla directed officials to ensure swift and result-oriented action in corruption cases, with a focus on improving investigation quality and strengthening outcomes in Panchkula on Thursday.
The meeting, held at the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau headquarters, reviewed the performance of various branches and range offices engaged in anti-corruption work across the state.
Chawla emphasized the need to expedite pending investigations and ensure timely action in ongoing cases. He also stressed improving the quality of source information reports to support more effective operations.
Discussions during the meeting covered the progress of raids conducted by the bureau and the measures required to enhance conviction rates in court cases. Officials were asked to focus on building stronger cases to ensure successful prosecution.
The review also took up issues related to office maintenance and the need for technological upgrades to improve operational efficiency.
The directions issued at the meeting aim to strengthen the state’s anti-corruption framework, with a push for faster investigations, improved case quality, and higher conviction rates in the coming months.
