Chandigarh, April 23
A balloon bearing the inscription “PIA” in English and Urdu, along with an image of the Pakistan national flag, was found outside a house in a village in Haryana’s Sirsa district on Wednesday, leading police to initiate an investigation into the incident. The white and blue balloon shaped like an aircraft was spotted in Kheri village, under the jurisdiction of the Nathusari Chopta police station. According to police, it was found outside a shed where a villager keeps livestock. Station in charge Pardeep Kumar said the police received information about the object and immediately reached the spot. “The police received information that the balloon fell outside a shed where a villager keeps his animals. After police were alerted, we rushed to the spot and launched an investigation,” he said.
Officials said efforts are underway to determine the balloon’s origin and the circumstances under which it reached the area. The incident has prompted a local inquiry, with police continuing to examine all aspects before drawing conclusions.
