The gangster Goldy Brar has accused his former associate and rival, Lawrence Bishnoi, of ordering the killing of Inderpreet Singh – better known as Perri – who was shot dead by motorcycle-borne attackers in Chandigarh’s Sector 26 on Monday. In an audio message that has circulated widely on social media, a voice identified as Brar alleges that Bishnoi lured Perri to a meeting under false pretences before having him executed. The message escalates into a warning, with Brar declaring that “no power can save you” and telling Bishnoi he can “start the countdown” to his end.

The audio opens with Brar greeting listeners and naming himself before recounting Perri’s relationship with their circle. Once considered a close associate, Perri was allegedly “deliberately called” to Chandigarh by Bishnoi, supposedly to discuss wedding plans, in what Brar claims was a trap. “He called his friend and killed his friend,” the voice says.

The message also ventures into personal territory, asserting that Perri’s family had treated Bishnoi “like a son” during his visits. “He killed his own mother’s son,” the clip claims.

The Police have yet to respond publicly to the allegations or comment on the recording. No arrests have been made in the case, though investigators are examining CCTV footage and probing whether the killing is linked to gang rivalries in the region.

Perri’s death comes at a moment when reports suggest a deep rift between Brar and Bishnoi – once university friends at Panjab University who rose together to become two of northern India’s most powerful organised crime figures. Their networks, implicated in extortion, targeted killings and narcotics and arms trafficking, remain the focus of ongoing investigations. Bishnoi is currently in jail, while Brar is believed to be overseas.
