The Ministry of Civil Aviation said on Saturday it has achieved 87 percent of its public grievance redressal targets as part of a nationwide clean-up campaign. The ministry has also weeded out 4,988 physical files under the ongoing Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 5.0. The campaign, which runs from 2 to 31 October 2025, aims to improve efficiency and free up office space by disposing of scrap, e-waste and redundant files. So far, 405 cleanliness drives have been carried out against a target of 480. Around 31,353 sq. ft. of space has been cleared, and scrap disposal has generated revenue of Rs 81,66,756, the ministry said.
The initiative is being led by Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu. Previously he had chaired a review meeting with senior officials and heads of organisations under the ministry. Four days later, he walked through the premises, interacted with staff, inspected facilities and urged officials to embed the principle of Swachhata — cleanliness — in their daily work and mindset. The ministry said it remains committed to creating a positive, clutter-free workplace and is drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat mission.
