Health Department, Safia Foundation stress its role in mobility, stroke recovery and daily life
Kullu, September 8
The Health Department and Safia Foundation jointly organised Physiotherapy Day in Dhalpur, along with an awareness rally to highlight the role of physiotherapy in improving mobility and physical functioning.
Children receiving physiotherapy services and Health Department officials participated in the rally. Dr Radha, Medical Superintendent, Dhalpur Hospital, was also present.
Dr Radha highlighted the physiotherapy services available through the Health Department and said the therapy could help people maintain, regain and improve physical functioning, particularly those facing mobility limitations.
She said physiotherapy was not limited to recovery after injuries or surgery, but could also support people with difficulty in walking, exercising and performing routine activities.
She said physiotherapy played an important role in stroke rehabilitation, helping improve mobility, balance, strength and overall physical functioning.
Dr Radha also stressed the importance of regular and appropriate physical activity in reducing the risk of heart disease.
