Bollywood’s Nawab shares Pataudi Library pictures in first post, sparks fan buzz

Chandigarh: Bollywood’s Nawab, Saif Ali Khan, has finally joined Instagram, catching fans’ attention with his first post and choice of first follow. The actor shared pictures of the Pataudi Library on Sunday and followed his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, first.

Saif, who goes by @saifalikhanpataudi on Instagram, captioned his debut post, “Pataudi Library.. Judging books by their cover.” At the time of filing this report, his account had amassed over 25K followers, while his first post had garnered over 16K likes, reflecting the interest surrounding his entry into the social media space.

Kareena, who is active on Instagram as @kareenakapoorkhan, also followed her husband back. The couple, who have largely shared glimpses of their family life through Kareena’s social media updates, are parents to sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan.

While Kareena occasionally shares family photographs and moments with her children, the couple have generally maintained a degree of privacy around their sons. Neither child is known for having a public Instagram presence of his own.

Saif’s arrival on the platform marks a shift for an actor who has largely stayed away from public social media.

In a 2024 interview, he spoke about having a private Instagram account but admitted that browsing the platform often left him wanting to delete it. He had also expressed reservations about the expectations that come with maintaining a public profile.

His debut has now sparked curiosity about what he might share next, from film updates and reading interests to travel and family moments. For now, his first post and choice of first follow have given fans an initial glimpse into his digital life.
