Ajay Devgn-starrer reportedly reaches the milestone within four days of release as the third chapter of the crime-thriller franchise continues its theatrical run
Chandigarh: Ajay Devgn-starrer “Drishyam 3: The Conclusion” has reportedly crossed the ₹300-crore mark worldwide within four days of its theatrical release. The latest reported worldwide collection stands at around ₹303 crore.
The film, which released on October 2, is the third instalment in the popular “Drishyam” franchise and brings back Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar. Tabu and Shriya Saran also reprise their roles, while Abhishek Pathak returns as director.
The “Drishyam” series has built its popularity around a simple but gripping premise, an ordinary family caught in extraordinary circumstances and a father willing to go to great lengths to protect his loved ones. The earlier films combined crime, family drama and suspense, keeping audiences invested in Vijay’s attempts to stay ahead of the investigation.
“Drishyam 3” takes that story forward while serving as the concluding chapter of the franchise. Without revealing any important plot details, the film retains the series’ emphasis on mystery, twists and the cat-and-mouse dynamic between Vijay and those trying to uncover the truth.
Devgn once again anchors the film as Vijay, a character whose quiet and calculated approach has become central to the franchise. The returning cast adds familiarity, while the new developments provide enough fresh tension to keep the story moving.
The film’s reported ₹300-crore-plus worldwide performance marks another strong theatrical showing for the franchise.
With the film still running in theatres, “Drishyam 3” will now look to build on its early momentum and give the franchise a strong finish at the box office.
