Mann credits ‘Sikhya Kranti’ for success of 369 JEE achievers in Punjab

  Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday praised 369 students who cleared the JEE Mains examination in Mohali, attributing their success to the state government’s education reforms under the ‘Sikhya Kranti’ initiative.

Describing the students as “Taare Zameen Par,” Mann said their achievement reflects improvements in government schools driven by better infrastructure, empowered teachers, and policy interventions. “These students symbolize the immense potential of Punjab’s youth and show that with the right environment, they can compete at the national level,” he said.

He said the government has focused on strengthening school systems and reducing administrative burdens on teachers, allowing them to concentrate on academics. Mann added that measures such as dedicated support staff and structured reforms have helped improve learning outcomes.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the role of parent participation, noting that initiatives such as Parent-Teacher Meetings have strengthened coordination between schools and families. He said these efforts have contributed to a change in the perception of government education in the state. The students’ success is seen as an outcome of ongoing reforms, with the government aiming to further strengthen the education system and expand opportunities for students across Punjab.
