Chandigarh, August 21
Former Supreme Court judge B Sudershan Reddy, the INDIA alliance’s nominee for Vice President, filed his nomination on Thursday in New Delhi. He was accompanied by senior Congress leaders, including party president and Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi. Other key leaders present on the occassion included NCP-SCP chief Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav, DMK MP Tiruchi Siva and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, along with several representatives of the alliance partners.
