A 120-hour investigation involving multiple teams and CCTV analysis helped Panchkula Police solve a blind murder case, leading to the arrest of two accused linked to a drug-related dispute.
Panchkula Police have solved a blind murder case in Raipur Rani with the arrest of two accused after a 120-hour operation involving five special teams and the analysis of over 400 CCTV cameras.
The case dates back to the night of April 28–29, 2026, when an unidentified body was found beneath the Khetparali bridge. With no identification of the victim, police launched a detailed investigation using forensic methods and public outreach.
The deceased was later identified as Harinder Singh, a 32-year-old Rapido driver from Mohali, Punjab. Based on a complaint by his brother, a murder case was registered.
Police said the accused, Sangam Kumar and Vijay Kumar alias Deenanath, were friends of the victim and had met at a de-addiction center in Baddi. After their release, they resumed drug use. During an intoxicated altercation, the victim was allegedly given an overdose and assaulted before being thrown off the bridge to ensure death.
The car used in the crime, along with blood-stained clothes and other evidence, has been recovered. Both accused were sent to judicial custody after police remand. Officials said the case was solved through technical evidence and sustained efforts, reiterating their commitment to strict action against crime.
