In a significant development in the coaching centre case, the Delhi High Court on Friday transferred the investigation into the drowning of three civil services aspirants at a coaching centre’s basement from the Delhi Police to the CBI. The High Court bench requested the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to appoint a senior officer to oversee the CBI’s probe into the criminal case.
“Considering the nature of the incident and to ensure that the public has no doubts regarding the investigation, this court transfers the probe to the CBI,” the court said.
