Deputy Commissioner hands over equipment at District Early Intervention Centre
Kullu: The local District Red Cross Society distributed need-based kits to 150 persons with special needs at the District Early Intervention Centre here on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amit Sharma distributed the assistive equipment during the programme organised jointly with the Red Cross Society to support beneficiaries from across the district.
Kullu SDM Jaywanti Thakur and District Red Cross Society Secretary Chandrakesh Sharma were also present at the programme.
Thakur said the kits had been procured through Sundernagar Red Cross Society and were distributed at the District Early Intervention Centre. She said the DC was present during the distribution.
Sharma said the society had been organising such camps at different locations across the district. A similar camp had earlier been held in Nirmand, while the latest programme was organised at the Kullu district headquarters.
He said the society had been working to assist people with special needs across the valley and would continue organising such programmes for needy beneficiaries in the future.
