After weeks of fan speculation over his absence, actor Amar Upadhyay returns as Mihir in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’

Weeks after Amar Upadhyay’s exit from “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2” as Mihir Virani, the actor is set to return to the popular television show, bringing good news to fans who had been waiting for his comeback.

Star Plus has unveiled a new promo confirming Upadhyay’s return as Mihir. His comeback comes after a nearly 14-week break from the show, during which fans repeatedly expressed their disappointment on social media and urged the makers to bring back the character.

The return also comes with a festive touch, with Mihir making his way back to Shantiniketan around Ganesh Chaturthi. The promo has further fuelled curiosity about how his re-entry will affect the Virani family and its changed relationships and equations.

For Upadhyay, Mihir remains one of the most significant characters of his acting career. Speaking about his return, the actor said, “Mihir mere liye sirf ek character nahi hai. He has been such a huge part of my journey.” He added that stepping back into Shantiniketan and reuniting with Tulsi and the Virani family brought back memories, while the response from fans made the return particularly special.

He also hinted that Mihir would be returning to a family where circumstances and relationships have changed considerably, adding to the anticipation around the storyline.

“I’m excited to see how audiences react when he finally walks back into their lives,” Upadhyay said.
