Teachers say payments for examination duties and answer-sheet evaluation remain pending, while students await DMCs for further studies and recruitment.

Dharamshala, August 19

The Himachal Rajkiya Adhyapak Sangh, Kangra, on Wednesday demanded that the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education release the pending honorarium of teachers who performed examination and evaluation duties.

District president Sachin Jaswal said the honorarium of teachers who performed duties during the annual examinations held in March 2025 and March 2026 was still pending. He said payments for evaluation of answer sheets in April 2025 and April 2026 had also not been released in full.

Jaswal urged the board chairman and secretary to clear the pending payments at the earliest.

The teachers’ body also demanded withdrawal of late fees and penalties of Rs 3,000 and Rs 5,000 being imposed in connection with retention fees. Jaswal said server outages, internet connectivity and electricity-related problems often prevent schools from completing the process on time, particularly in remote areas.

The association also sought early issuance of Detailed Marks Certificates (DMCs) to students who recently passed the Matric and Class 12 examinations.

Jaswal said many students needed the documents for further studies and recruitment processes, including the Army and Agniveer recruitment, and therefore the DMCs should be issued without delay.
