Veteran actor says left knee injury after a fall has made prolonged standing uncomfortable
Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan continued hosting “Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 18” despite a knee injury he sustained after slipping during the shoot of the quiz show.
The 83-year-old actor disclosed the injury while addressing viewers during the latest episode. Unlike his usual opening monologue, which he delivers while standing at the centre of the stage, Bachchan appeared seated at the game podium.
Explaining the change, he said he had slipped and fallen during the previous day’s shoot, injuring his left knee. He said the injury had made it uncomfortable for him to stand for long periods and reassured viewers that there was no need to worry.
Bachchan said he would continue to stand during the gameplay and interact with contestants, taking breaks whenever required.
“Kaun Banega Crorepati 18″ airs Monday to Friday at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and is also available for streaming on Sony LIV.
