Chandigarh, April 17
The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research will move its Neurology and Neurosurgery Outpatient Departments (OPDs) to the Advanced Neurosciences Center starting April 20.
The OPDs will be on Level 2 of the new center. The Neurosurgery trauma OPD will stay where it is. Services at the New OPD Block will stop after Saturday afternoon to help with the move.
PGIMER Director Vivek Lal said the move will bring together consultation, diagnostics, and advanced treatment in one place to improve patient care and reduce delays.
The OPD schedule will remain unchanged. Neurology clinics will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with a special clinic on Thursday (11:30 am–1 pm). Neurosurgery OPDs will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 8 am to 11 am.
Patients and attendants should use Gate No. 3 to reach the Advanced Neurosciences Center. The institute has made arrangements to ensure a smooth move. Bringing all neurological services together is expected to improve efficiency and enhance the patient experience.
