Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment BL Verma on Friday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will remain the face of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. Speaking to reporters in Shimla, Verma said the NDA will decide its chief ministerial candidate at the “right time” and is confident of securing a majority. “The Opposition INDIA bloc is already fighting among themselves, even over ticket distribution,” he said.
The remarks come after the Opposition alliance announced its chief minister and deputy chief minister candidates. Verma also highlighted welfare schemes launched by the central government, noting that 80 crore people are receiving free food grains and that the One Nation, One Ration Card scheme allows the poor to access rations anywhere in the country.
