22-year-old man stabbed to death in Panchkula

A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in Panchkula’s Sector 16 area, police said. The incident occurred on the road between Buddanpur village and Indira Colony, prompting a swift response from senior officials, including DCP Crime Amarinder Singh.

The victim, identified as Mohit, was allegedly forced into a car by two men and attacked with multiple knife blows to the chest, leading to his death at the spot. His brother Deepak said the family received information about the incident around 10 pm and rushed to the hospital.

Police teams from the Crime Branch, CIA units, and forensic experts reached the scene to begin the investigation. Officials said a case has been registered and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused. According to the family, Mohit had recently arrived in Panchkula from Uttar Pradesh in search of work. Police said further investigation is in progress and arrests are expected soon.
