Savitri Jindal, India’s richest woman and independent candidate who won the Hisar Assembly seat by 19,000 votes, is set to join the BJP along with two other independent MLAs. With the BJP securing 48 out of 90 seats in the Haryana Assembly, the addition of these independent MLAs will raise the BJP-led government’s tally to 51 seats, ensuring a stronger majority. Savitri Jindal, mother of BJP MP Naveen Jindal, and the two other independent MLAs are expected to meet BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan soon to finalize their support for the party.
