The BJP on late Wednesday, released its third and final list of candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections, excluding former state president Ram Bilas Sharma from the Mahendragarh seat. Instead, Kanwar Singh Yadav has been nominated for Mahendragarh. Despite anticipating the party’s decision, Sharma has filed his nomination papers for the constituency earlier.
Gurgaon MP Rao Inderjit Singh supported Sharma, stating that the party had delayed his nomination until the last moment. Sharma, who filed his papers as a BJP candidate, had been hopeful of securing a spot. However, his name was missing from the 67-candidate list announced on September 4. Additionally, the BJP has yet to announce its candidates for the Faridabad NIT and Sirsa seats.
