Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Friday expressed condolences on the death of veteran Congress leader and former Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil. Sandhwan said Patil had served the nation “with devotion and dedication” and that his contribution to public life would be remembered. He said he was deeply saddened by the news and prayed for peace to the departed soul. The Speaker also extended his sympathies to the bereaved family, saying he hoped they would find strength to cope with the loss.
