The Director of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Prof. Vivek Lal, honoured ten officers and officials on their superannuation at a ceremony held on Friday. The event celebrated decades of dedicated service by staff members who have contributed significantly to the institute’s growth and reputation. During the ceremony, Prof. Lal addressed the gathering and presented mementoes to the retiring employees, acknowledging their “unwavering commitment and invaluable service” to PGIMER.
Senior faculty and administrators, including Prof. R.K. Ratho (Dean, Academics), Prof. Sanjay Jain (Dean, Research), Prof. Ashok Kumar (Officiating Medical Superintendent), Prof. Paramjit Singh (Head, Radiodiagnosis), Prof. Surinder Rana (In-charge, Library), and Dr. Rajiv Kumar (Chief Medical Officer, Staff Clinic), along with Jaspal Kaur (Chief Nursing Officer) and Pawan Sharma (Sanitation Officer), were present on the occasion. Ravinder Singh, IA&AS, Financial Advisor, distributed the retirement financial payment letters to the employees.
The officials honoured for their service include Prof. D. Basu (Head, Psychiatry), Prof. Baljinder Singh (Head, Nuclear Medicine), Prof. Ashwani Sood (Nuclear Medicine), Lalita Dheer (Library & Information Officer, Dr. Tulsi Das Library), Amrit Kaur (Assistant Nursing Superintendent, Male Medical Ward, Nehru Hospital), Rita Raj (Senior Nursing Officer, AUC Ward, Nehru Hospital), Ashok Parmar (Technical Assistant, Radiodiagnosis & Imaging), Rajwinder Kaur (Junior Administrative Officer, Virology), Mehma Singh (Hospital Attendant, Staff Clinic), and Geeta (MTS, Sanitation, Nivedita Hostel).
