Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) affirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Indian nationals in Syria amid ongoing developments in the region. “Our embassy in Damascus is in constant contact with the Indian community to ensure their safety and security,” said MEA Official Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal. The MEA emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution to the crisis, urging all parties to uphold Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. “We advocate a Syrian-led, inclusive political process that respects the interests and aspirations of all sections of Syrian society,” the ministry stated.
The Indian government continues to monitor the evolving situation closely while advocating for stability in the region.
