Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday described his holy dip at Prayagraj’s Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh as a “moment of divine connection.” “Blessed to be at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The Snan at the Sangam is a moment of divine connection… May Maa Ganga bless all with peace, wisdom, good health, and harmony,” Modi posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Modi, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, took a boat ride from Areal Ghat to Mahakumbh before reaching Sangam Ghat for the ritual. He arrived in Prayagraj at 10:05 a.m. and proceeded to the riverbank at 10:45 a.m.
Maha Kumbh 2025, the world’s largest spiritual gathering, began on January 13 and will continue until February 26. Modi has focused on improving pilgrimage infrastructure, inaugurating ₹5,500 crore worth of projects during his December visit.
