Jammu, April 17
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off a Shobha Yatra in Jammu on Friday to mark Parshuram Jayanti, celebrating the legacy and teachings of Bhagwan Parshuram.
Organised by the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, the procession brought together devotees and community leaders to honour Bhagwan Parshuram, regarded as the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Before the Yatra began, LG Sinha offered prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity.
The event gathered Sabha President Ved Prakash Sharma, committee members, MLAs Yudhvir Sethi and Devyani Rana, senior officials, religious leaders, and community members, emphasizing the cultural and spiritual importance of Parshuram Jayanti for the local community.
The Shobha Yatra paid tribute to Bhagwan Parshuram’s teachings and reinforced communal harmony and cultural identity in Jammu. Participants expressed hope for continued unity and progress in the region.
