Kisan Rally: Chandigarh Police Advises Commuters to Use Alternative Routes

In view of a significant Kisan rally in Sector 34, Chandigarh Police have issued an advisory for commuters. To avoid potential traffic disruptions, residents and travelers are encouraged to adopt alternative routes. Authorities are working to ensure minimal inconvenience, but those traveling through the area should plan their journeys accordingly.

Affected Roads and Diversions:

Sarovar Path:

• Traffic may be diverted/restricted from Gaushala Chowk (Sector 44/45-50/51 Chowk) to Burail Chowk (Sector 33/34-44/45 Chowk) and from Sector 33/34 Light Point to New Labour Chowk (Sector 33/34-20/21 Chowk).

Sector 34:

• Traffic on the V-4 and V-5 roads of Sector 34, including areas near Shyam Mall, T-Point opposite Polka Bakery, Flower Market, and the Dispensary, may face diversions/restrictions.

1. Sector 33/34 Light Point to Sector 34/35 Light Point:

• Traffic may be diverted/restricted in this area.

Dakshin Marg:

• No turns onto Sarovar Path are allowed for the general public.

1. Shanti Path:

• Traffic will be redirected from Sector 33/45 Light Point, with no turns allowed towards Sarovar Path.

Mataur Chowk to Gaushala Chowk:

• Left turns at Mataur Chowk are not allowed; commuters should take the left turn at Mataur Chowk itself.

1. Faida Light Point to Gaushala Chowk:

• Right turns at Gaushala Chowk are not allowed; commuters should take the right turn at Sector 45/46-49/50 Light Point.

Parking Arrangements for Rally Participants:

• Sector 33-D near Market
• Open Ground, Sector 44 near Luxmi Narayan Temple
• Mandi Ground, Sector 45-D
• Dussehra Ground, Sector 46-D
